Really great spot with friendly locals. The owner Billy was a really nice guy. I asked him what his highlight of 2024 was and he said, "without a doubt the celebration of being open for 30 years". He also said that his Dad ran it before he took over. It was cool to see his pride and love for the spot. I could tell it was sentimental to him in his Dads memory. It much larger inside than it looks from the outside. Two large rooms the first having the bar and the second has pool tables. One of the regulars told me there's also a big patio out back. I've been here twice now and both times were really enjoyable. The people there were friendly and I'll definitely come back next time im in town!

Feeling casual homey place ! There's no food only drinks but let you buy outside food and bring it in. Was hoping they will serve appetizer so it's convenient. The bartenders are so nice. Great customer service. Drinks are real deal ! There's salsa dance too! I love it!

This was my first time here and I came to watch the 49ers game with my husband. I cannot speak about how this bar is at night, but for a day game it was great. The bar is definitely a dive bar but with tons of personality character and a bunch of tables and TVs. Most people were in niners gear with everyone cheering or complaining and they even use a horn for a TD, sack etc. There wasn't food but they let us order in and the beer was great and very reasonably priced. The owner (I think she was an owner) even helped me find a stool when my brother arrived and I couldn't find one and then said hi to him - "hi brother" :).Will definitely be back for niners/giants/warriors.

On a Wednesday evening, it was a great place to hang out with friends and hear each other talk. The have maybe about 5 or so big booths in the back to sit in. They even have a small parking lot!! And we were able to bring some snacks in.

Il Pirata is a great neighborhood bar and I like stopping in occasionally for Happy Hour and an early dinner. I've had the appetizer platter, the grilled chicken cesar and the pizza now, which have all been quite decent for pub fare. The waitresses are nice and always come back to make sure you have a drink or everything you need. They have quite a number of beers on tap, always play the GIANTS when they are playing and can be a locals/regulars type of bar. They have a large back room for those times where you want to throw a party and don't want to overthink the location. My friend had a party, brought in his own turn table equipment and threw quite the party with no cost for booking the room. It was awesome. They also have an outdoor patio with dart boards, a little place to get away and catch some sun on a sunny San Francisco day.

I love this place and the bartenders. First off - I tend to be an early guy, call me an early bird drinker. I Like: 1) Happy Hours 2) Being awake when I head out 3) early evening TV 4) Non-Club atmosphere most of the time. This place has a clubby atmosphere later in the evening, but during the late afternoon, early evening it's a regulars kind of place. You see the same guys and gals when you go in here. There are 3 bartenders that I mostly recognize - the owner and his gf, and this guy John (I think) he reminds me of Danny at Molloys. Great bartenders making great drinks and this place is cheap. I order a manhattan from John and it comes in a bucket - a large rocks glass and it's made perfect every time. Check it out - they've got a few tv's (play the Giants games!) and play good upbeat music, usually hip hop type that's not so loud you can't talk to the guy next to you.

Mike M threw his birthday party here and it was a great spot to do so. Plenty of room for dancing (we bought our own DJs), the bar and restrooms are in the front so there's no traffic cutting through while you're trying to dance the night away. Plenty of booths to sit in a relax and two patios for a breather. It's got a divey, laid-back kind of vibe...Plus the regulars here are kind of a trip, one guy propositioned a friend: "whiskey and coke, huh? I've got some of that in my car." Granted we almost got mugged on our walk home, so be sure and be safe when finished enjoying the delightful grittiness of this bar.
